La Defense II
There are some very groovy buildings scraping La Défense's sky, and after walking around the ancient streets of Paris for the last few months, the wide, open expanse of the (business) park's esplanade, surrounded by very modern, high tech steel and glass was a welcomed change. I didn't stop to record the name's of each building, or the public art around them. Sorry.

In the middle of the esplanade, sits a large water feature. It is tiled in bright colors and geometric shapes. The colors patterns vary throughout the basin, and from the front, it takes on the appearence of an infinity pool.

From the back, it just looks like a big, colorful wall.

La Grande Arc is so big, that the entire Notre Dame Cathédrale can fit inside of it. To those of us from major metropolitan cities, these buildings are nothing spectacular, but in Paris, nothing is reaches higher than 5 or 6 stories! These buildings are monsters by comparison.

Impressive, isn't it.
